The Best Mortgage Marketing Ideas to Challenge Your Production
You need mortgage marketing ideas to assist you into the field and meet Realtors, but you do not want to hit the streets and cold call. It does not need to be as troublesome as some loan originators make it. Each time you leave your office and go in the field, there is a plethora of chances waiting to be possessed. Everytime you talk with Realtors there’s something to benefit. And what is involved is to know where to search and the clues to uncover. For example, in your next conversation with a real estate agent, tell them you are searching to partner with one or 2 new Realtors and you’d like to find other Realtors just like them. Describe some characteristics, and then ask who they know that fits it. After they’ve revealed a reference or two, ask them if they would not mind getting authorization from the real estate agent for you to telephone her or him or schedule a luncheon meeting. This simple mortgage marketing idea saves you tons of resources because the real estate agent is doing the hard part.

Introducing your services to the seller’s real estate agent is another. If you have not done it before, it’s deceptively easy. Just telephone them and introduce yourself as the mortgage broker handling the buyer’s financing. There is no need to convince them of your services, just involve them each step of the way in the financing process like you do with the purchaser’s real estate agent. Instead of telling the seller’s agent about your service, they get to experience it firsthand. The fact alone that you called and introduced yourself makes an unforgettable first impression most seller agents find unbelievable. Another mortgage marketing idea is to conduct presentations at meetings to Realtors. Whenever you can get in front of a group of Realtors, it is the best use of your resources. You share the same amount of information to a group as you would to an individual, yet your chances of a real estate agent finding you so they can refer potential clients is compounded. Don’t bring snacks; let them feed their bellies while you feed their brains. It’s a fair trade and if you can not do it onsite, do it offsite. Several of my clients teach and their work always proves successful. Groups grow larger each time they teach a course. You promote yourself as an expert and Realtors always want more information which helps you build a relationship. Whenever they have a client you get the referral. It applies to mortgage marketing flyers too. The right thing to do is to use the ad space to describe your expertise, not a solicitation. And tell it from another real estate agent’s viewpoint. It’s better that another person dotes about you, then you doing it yourself. Essentially, make your flyers a sequence of success examples and Realtors will look forward to receiving them if you employ consistency. Marketing to Realtors isn’t a puzzle when you’re inspired with mortgage marketing ideas that make your job simpler. What’s urgent is you’re pushing forward and being active. Nobody ever got Realtors to refer potential clients to them being invisible. Just borrow one mortgage marketing idea to start. Use it, try it different ways until you make progress and then borrow the next one. Before you know it, you have multiple mortgage marketing ideas working for you and your production is improving giving you the lifestyle you desire.

need help with a flyer we are circulating?
Hi guys. I am designing a flyer to circulate in our community. I am not sure what is most important to touch on. So I want you as a consumer your opinion of what is the biggest concern you have when contacting a mortgage person. What information would you most likely respond to on a flyer? If you are buying a home what questions would you ask? if you were refinancing? I am trying to find the most basic questions to answer. What makes you hesitate? What would show a sign of ethics on our part? Just general ideas. Anything would help. Also if anyone is in marketing. we are having a disagreement about colors. Which colors are best for certain things?? Thanks ahead of time
I’ll start with your last concern first. Keep it simple! It’s no accident that even with todays computer graphic capabilities the vast majority of newspapers/magazines are printed with black ink on white paper! Use of color should be kept to a minimum and only for one or two “grabber” words. Usually a flyer’s purpose is to grab the interest of a potential customer so don’t try to put too much information on the flyer. Also, pretty as they are, unique type fonts should be avoided unless they are part of your “corporate signature” like Ford and CocaCola use.
Now for content:
1. The most significant thing on your flyer will be the name of the company and the contact information, e.g., phone, address, email.
2. If the company name isn’t self explanatory, make sure you identify what your “product” is, e.g., Low Interest Mortgages.
3. In a couple of “bullets” identify why the consumer should use your service rather than another provider, e.g.,
* Locally owned
* Lowest interest anywhere
* Fast closing
* — whatever–
Just a suggestion: You might consider making two flyers for two different audiences with content slanted accordingly. One for the home buyer/refinancer and one to go to realtors.
I’ve bought several homes in my life and I’ve never looked for a mortgage company myself, I’ve always been new-kid-on-the-block and trusted my realtor to help me find financing.
