My Monopoly game has frozen at mortgage property issue, how can I unlock it.?
Computer player was in the process of mortgaging property and the screen has frozen with the icon moving but no mortgage action being taken. Also, how can I delete saved games? Thanks-Snake
look up the manual. you can deleat profiles by clicking on them and hitting the deleat button. you need to find out your graphics card for your pc (or whatever you play it on) as it might be playing it to long.
Flipping houses or renting with real estate investments..?
There are a lot of opinionated real estate investor out there with two basic ideas of earning money through real estate… buy a bad house, make it nice and sell it on… the other is buy a nice house, rent it out and pay off the mortgage with that rent…
Some say that flipping houses is a waste of money and time because it doesn’t increase the value of the house… some say that renting and paying off the mortgage is to slow and freezes your capital… whats your opinion and experiences…which team you behind???
Those were the days… up until 2005 and 2006 “flipping” was the fashion.
Right now… neither.
Flipping doesn’t work anymore because you can’t get the financing to flip a house and even if you did you won’t be able to sell fast enough to make a profit.
Buying Investment Properties… only if you have a lot of capital and can buy with sizable downpayment. Most houses are still too expensive and the monthly mortgage is still higher than the rent you can collect for the place. Buying a single family house and rent it out isn’t going to break even on the mortgage and you are still responsible for repairs and taxes.
Right now I am behind Team “Realistic Future Home Owner”
That guy is sitting tight right now, saving for a large downpayment, getting his/her credit in order and poised to pounce on the market 2010 and 2011 when the market is back to “normal” and you can buy a house in your neighborhood that has a price tag of 3 times your yearly gross income.
