loan servicing fees Questions
I have been offered a personal loan through Intercontinental loan. Has anyone heard of them or done business?
I have been offered a loan with an up front fee of 200.00 through Intercontintal loan services. This name/address came to me via yahoo answers. Does anyone know anything about them? Has anyone actually done a loan with them and been successful?
they are Scamers, no loan company will request a up front fee. You will send them $200 and you will get no loan.
Haggling Collections Cost For Old Credit Card?
I got multiple credit cards when I first graduated high school and ignored them until a few years ago. As of right now, I am current with paying my student loans. All I owe now are two medical bills and the troublesome credit card. I was lucky when the other accounts were able to lower their cost, however, this company is not letting up.
When NCO Financial Services in PA bought the account, Capital One tacked on an interest fee of $500 to an account amount of $500. When I discuss it being too high for me to pay, the rep says that I can just pay $20 a month or however much I can afford.
Are there any methods I could use in order to have them lower their cost? Could I just save up $500 and say that if they can close the account then I can pay the lump sum that the original amount was for?
The collection agent purchased the debt account for less than the face value of the original debt, so the $500 fee is simply an invention of the collection agent. Put together a lump sum of $200 to $300. Contact the collection agent and offer to settle the debt for a one-time, lump-sum. Get their agreement in writing, and pay the amount agreed to. Keep copies of the settlement agreement and your canceled check.
